On May 3rd FSEA organized a Business Breakfast with the the Director of The National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) Mr. Gheorghe Gaberi and FSEA members.
Liliana Busuioc, FSEA Executive Director, presented FSEA mission, activity and members. Mr. Gaberi gave a comprehensive presentation about ANSA activity after the institutional and governmental reform. Currently ANSA is responsible for the implementation of state policy in the field of regulation and control of food safety and in the field of veterinary, zoo technical, plant protection and phytosanitary quarantine, seed control, quality of primary products and food and. After the reform ANSA became the institution responsible for Customer Protection in Moldova ensuring the respect of the law and regulations in order to protect the rights of consumers on the local market. FSEA members from various business sectors, mainly from food industry had the opportunity to ask questions regarding the current situation in the food industry.
Mr. Gaberi encouraged business owners to ally with business associations like FSEA and ensure that they are represented in business to government dialogue in a constructive way.
